A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed by OMV and Gazprom on oil supply.
A working meeting was hosted in Vienna between Gazprom’s chairman of its management committee Alexey Miller and Rainer Steele, chairman of the OMV executive board.
It is understood the parties discussed the cooperation on Nord Stream 2 as well as a potential asset swap.
Gazprom said the document reflects the parties’ intent to consider a possibility of oil supply to OMV from Gazprom Group portfolio.
Earlier today Gazprom, the world’s biggest natural gas exporter, said it was planning for the lowest price for its fuel in its main European market for more than a decade.
