Workers from Suncor Energy are set to return to facilities closed during a massive wildfire in Canada.
The company will begin flying its employees back to its oil sands base plant from today.
Suncor chief executive Steve Williams said none of the company’s facilities in the area, which have a production of about 350,000boepd, have been damaged.
Williams expects the facilities to start production soon.
An estimated one million bpd was said to have been shut down during the fire as workers were moved out of harm’s way.
