OCCUPATIONAL-Health specialist Abermed, of Aberdeen, said yesterday it had signed a deal with Williams Medical Supplies to improve offshore care.
Welsh firm Williams will calibrate and repair Abermed’s sickbay equipment under the contract, worth £50,000 a year.
Abermed managing director Ross Haworth said it was vital for medics to have 24-hour access to equipment in top condition.
He added: “The ultimate aspiration is to benefit the industry and make life easier for the medics with better equipped sickbays.”
