North-east firm Quensh has moved into bigger premises and hired a new managing director to lead its growing team.
The health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) management and training consultancy has relocated to Castlepark Industrial Estate in Ellon from its previous facility in Foveran.
Quensh, whose other base is in Perth, Australia, employs 20 staff members globally and has recruited eight new employees in the north-east since March 2020.
They will be led by Andy James after he took over the top job from Andy Bruce, who will remain involved in the business.
Mr James has spent more than a decade in senior management positions with international energy firms operating within the UK, North and West Africa, the Middle East and South America.
He has led the successful restructuring of organisations, the introduction of new products and services and nurturing client and business relationships.
His previous employers include industrial cleaning and environmental-waste management specialist MSIS, which was bought out of administration by Inverurie-headquartered Denholm MacNamee in 2019.
On his new role, Mr James said: “My initial focus will be on ensuring that we have the right team in place to deliver our ambitious growth targets in the UK and in Australia. Our new premises in Ellon will correctly position us to accommodate a growing team.
“In the last few years, Quensh has successfully strengthened its position in the market through organic growth, track record and reputation and we will use these as linchpins to take the business to the next level in terms of sectoral and geographic spread.”
Founded in 2006, Quensh is co-owned by Andy Bruce and Donna Hutchison. Mr James will soon join them as a shareholder.
