Global caterer and facility manager Sodexo said yesterday it had won a national safety award for the 14th year in a row.
The company has received the British Safety Council Award in recognition of its health and safety management systems.
Sodexo provides services including maintenance and cleaning, and has provided catering for oil and gas clients in the North Sea for more than 40 years. Ian Russell, the firm’s UK divisional director, said: “Every day, thousands of customers rely on our safety systems, so our performance in this area is crucial.
“Winning this award clearly demonstrates Sodexo’s global commitment to achieving a health and safety culture, workforce engagement and world-class performance.
“Moreover, this recognition will provide greater motivation for our teams who remain fully focused on continual improvements in our safety results.”
Sodexo employs about 420,000 people in operations in 80 countries.
Its North Sea headquarters in Aberdeen serves 130 locations, supported by offices in Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands.
