Environmental activists boarded a Seadrill rig yesterday at a Norwegian yard in protest at the country’s plans for an Arctic exploration campaign in the Barents Sea.
A spokesman for national oil company Statoil said the firm had a strong emergency plan in place for the planned drilling programme.
