Organisers of a conference aimed at offshore industry environment representatives are to expand the event this year after the success of its Aberdeen debut last autumn.
The 2012 E-Reps forum saw around 200 industry figures taking part in the first event aimed at sharing knowledge among those in the role.
“Although the position of environmental reps remains non-statutory, the majority of North Sea operators have recognised the importance of the role, understanding that the driving force for environmental awareness must come from the workforce,” said a spokeswoman for the event.
The 2013 forum will take place at Aberdeen’s Beach Ballroom on October 9, with workshops, exhibitors and industry speakers being lined up for the conference.
TV presenter and sustainability expert Dick Strawbridge will be keynote speaker at this year’s forum, which has been sponsored by Talisman Sinopec,. The event will also feature the debut of the E-Reps awards at a networking session after the forum.
Details are available on the event website.
