A fatal accident inquiry is to be held next month into the deaths of 16 people who were killed after a Super Puma crashed into the North Sea almost five years ago.
In April 2009 an AS332 L2 helicopter operated by Bond went down north-east of Peterhead on its return from a BP Platform, killing all 14 passengers and two crew on board.
Yesterday at Aberdeen Sheriff Court families of the victims were told there would be no further delay in finding out what happened that day.
Many politicians have criticised how long it has taken for the FAI.
Sheriff Principle Derek Pyle yesterday reassured the families he would be reaching his conclusions following the inquiry within weeks.
The FAI is due to start on January 6 next year.
