A global energy healthcare specialist is set to open its first UK centre, after investing £200,000 in an Aberdeen clinic.
The International Medical Management (IMM)’s Alliance House facility will consist of nine members of staff, including senior occupational health physician Dr Elizabeth Wright, a former medical director of an energy healthcare provider.
Founded in 2004, the company has been offering offshore medical services, corporate health and wellbeing sessions, and travel medicine healthcare consultancy to a number of energy firms including Premier Oil, Acergy and Petronas.
“There has long been a need for additional corporate medical care provision in Aberdeen, to increase the resource available to the energy sector, public and private sector organisations,” said Dr Jean Francois Foucher, director of IMM.
“Establishing our UK headquarters in the oil capital of Europe allows us to deliver support to existing Aberdeen based clients with the potential to open a second clinic in Aberdeen a key part of our growth plan.
