Technical specialists DNV GL are to provide verification services for North Sea operator Apache after landing a three-year deal to support their operations.
The deal will see DNV GL providing a host of services, including risk-based verification, for the company’s Beryl and Forties assets.
“Apache was identified as a regional key target for DNV GL and we spent a great deal of time and effort listening to their needs and challenges in asset integrity and verification,” said DNV GL’s offshore services chief Jack Downie.
“We have now a strong team in place with a clearly set direction, largely based on Apache’s input, which will ensure we can deliver and exceed expectations on this major contract.”
The deal, which could be extended by up to two more years, will cover risk and cost analysis to ensure field developments are carried out efficiently.
“Safety, compliance and production in that order, are the priorities for the delivery of operations and projects in Apache North Sea,” said Apache project manager Mark Richardson.
“Having the right verification body to work with is key to making our activities a success.”
