
An investigation has been launched by the Petroleum Safety Authority in Norway over an incident involving a dropped object on the West Venture drilling facility.
The incident happened earlier this week in the Norwegian North Sea.
A spokesman for the authority said: “The PSA has decided to instigate an investigation of a dropped object incident on the West Venture mobile drilling facility on 23 March 2015.”
The West Venture Drilling facility is managed by North Atlantic Drilling.
