The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority has found a number of non-conformities on Statoil’s Valemon platform in the North Sea.
The safety body said there were a number of safety violations related to fire protection as well as explosion overpressure, fire water supply and documentation.
The platform had been audited to assess how Statoil was ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, recognised standards and its own requirements within technical safety and electrical installations for the operation and maintenance of Valemon.
The audit was carried out between October 26th and November 5th last year.
Statoil will now have until February 1st to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be dealt with.
