Genel Enegy has received a $6.1million payment for its Taq Taq field.
The UK company said it has received the partial payment from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq for the oil that was sold into the domestic market last month.
The government has so far paid $11million to the partners in Taq Taq.
The full balance for last month is expected to be paid in full shortly, according to Genel.
A spokesman said the payment reflects part settlement of the invoiced amount of $22.45million.
This includes $18.76million towards contractor monthly entitlement and $3.69million towards recovery of historical receivables.
Gross oil sales from the Taq Taq oil field last month averaged 67,405bopd.
