Gulf Marine Services (GMS) said today a contract for one of its mid-size vessels had been cancelled early by an unspecified oil company based in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
London-listed GMS, an offshore vessel contractor founded in Abu Dhabi in 1977, said the self-elevating support vessel was supposed to be chartered until the fourth quarter of this year, but the deal has been terminated already.
The company, which has a 14-strong fleet of self-elevating support vessels (SESVs), supports the oil and gas and renewables sectors from its offices in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the UK.
Earlier this month GMS said it had struck a new deal to supply one of its vessels to a client in the same region.
