Scottish Secretary David Mundell said today’s City Deal announcement, paving the way for more than £500millon of investment, underlined the UK Government’s willingness to help the North Sea oil and gas industry through its crisis.
And he said Prime Minister David Cameron would use his visit to Aberdeen later today to find out from the industry what else can be done.
Mr Mundell was speaking during a visit to Bibby Offshore at Westhill. He is in the north-east to forge oil and gas links between the region and Mozambique ahead of his forthcoming trip to the east African country.
