McDermott has confirmed the closure of its Aberdeen business development office.
Reports had previously emerged that the company had been considering the move.
It comes after the firm made 25 redundancies from its offices in Houston.
A spokesman said the majority of staff had been reassigned to the company’s offices in Epsom and McDermott’s other offices.
The company said there had not been any redundancies as a result of the closure of its Aberdeen office.
He said:”McDermott remains committed to developing a presence in the North Sea, Europe and Africa from our Epsom UK office, where we have already been executing a number of engineering projects for our clients. McDermott also recently assigned a Vice President for Europe and Africa E&A to lead these efforts from Epsom.”
