A man has been flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after taking ill on-board a North Sea rig.
Aberdeen Coastguard sent the Bond offshore rescue helicopter to the Montrose Alpha platform, 130 miles east of the Granite City, after receiving a call for help at 11am.
He is said to have been “sick”, however the nature of his condition is not known.
A spokeswoman for Aberdeen Coastguard said: “We had a medi-vac at the Montrose Platform. It is pretty much directly east of Aberdeen. We got the call at 11am. He was taken to ARI.”
