Halliburton has made job cuts in the Norwegian sector.
According to reports in Norwegian media, the company said between 250-260 workers will be made redundant.
It’s understood both onshore and offshore positions will be affected by the move.
The largest impact is expected to be on offshore role, where up to 100 positions could go.
Halliburton said it had made adjustments to its workforce in Norway as a result of current market conditions.
A spokeswoman added that downsizing was “necessary” in the recent oil price environment.
