Norwegian operator Statoil and Halliburton have kicked off drilling on the Madam Trap well.

Norwegian operator Statoil and Halliburton have kicked off drilling on the Madam Trap well.

Drilling is thought to have started earlier this month after previously being scheduled for no earlier than mid-January.

According to reports in Norway, the main purpose of the exploration well 30/11-11 is to confirm the commercial resources of the Madam Trap prospect.
