Oil major BP has been given an operating life extension for the Ula pipeline in the North Sea.
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate said the move means it has been given consent to operate the pipeline until production licence expires in December 2028.
The oil from Ula is transported to Teesside in England via Ekofisk.
The export pipeline from Ula to Ekofisk was installed in 1984 and commissioned in 1986 with a planned operating life of 30 years.
