Bilfinger Salamis is to cut the rates of contractors by up to 10%.
The company said the move will affect 77 positions of those workers established as limited companies.
The move comes just a day after it was revealed Sparrows Group was in consultation with its staff over a reduction in pay of up to 7% as the company looks to remain competitive.
A spokesman for Bilfinger Salamis, said: “We are speaking to our offshore personnel that operate as limited companies regarding a reduction in their rates.
“This is to ensure that we can remain competitive in this challenging environment and to help us retain skilled and experienced workers. It does not affect any of our other employees.”
