Norwegian operator Statoil has cancelled all helicopter traffic after a crash off the coast of Norway.
According to reports in Norwegian media, the company has stopped all traffic until further notice.
A total of 13 people were on board when the incident happened including 11 passengers and two crew.
The helicopter came down on a sector of the Norwegian coast, 23km from the heliport at Nygardstangen.
Norwegian coastguard has not confirmed who the helicopter belongs to.
Police spokesman Morten Kronen said the helicopter “has crashed, it is totally smashed”.
