Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg said the death of 13 workers on a North Sea flight was a “sad day” for the oil and gas industry.
The politician said her thoughts were with the relatives of those involved in the incident.
She said: “This is a sad day for all who work in the oil and gas industry, but also for the entire Norwegian society.”
Earlier in the day she posted a message on social media in which she described the incident as “horrifying”.
A total of 13 people – including two crew and 11 passengers – were on board when the incident happened at around 11am today.
