Aker Solutions has confirmed some of its employees were on board the fatal helicopter crash in the North Sea.
There were three full-time employees and a contractor working for the company on board the flight.
All four had worked for its Maintenance, Modifications and Operations (MMO) unit in Norway.
Chief executive Luis Araujo said:“This is a tragic accident and our thoughts are with the families and friends of the deceased,” said Luis Araujo, chief executive officer of Aker Solutions. “Our priority now is to take care of our employees and the families of those who have been affected.”
There were 13 people on board the flight which crash near to Flesland Airport, including 11 passengers and 2 crew.
Aker Solutions said it mobilised its emergency response teams in Norway on first news of the incident.
