The first victims of the North Sea helicopter crash are expected to be identified today, as a Scottish man was confirmed to have been one of the passengers.
Iain Stuart, 41, was from Laurencekirk and had worked for Halliburton.
Three other Halliburton staff were on board Friday’s flight from Statoil’s Gullfaks B platform on the way to Flesland airport.
Four workers from Aker Solutions -three full-time employees and a contractor – died in the tragedy near Bergen.
A Schlumberger worker, and another from WellTec, also perished in the crash, which has been described as one of the most serious incidents in the history of the Norwegian oil industry.
The bkack box from the helicopter have been sent to England where investigators will listen back to the flight box recording.
A moments silence has also been held outside the Petroleum Museum in Stavanger for those killed in Friday’s crash.
Relatives of those killed have had a chance to visit the site of the incident where it crash at Turoy, west of Bergen, on Friday.
