Footage has emerged of the rotor blade still spinning as it separated in the moments before a North Sea helicopter crash.
The Super Puma had been returning from Statoil’s Gullfaks B field to Flesland Airport when it crashed with 13 people on board.
There were 11 passengers and two crew on the helicopter flight.
Several witnesses told Norwegian media they saw the rotor separate from the helicopter while still in the air and footage obtained by broadcaster Tv2 supported this.
A Scottish man has been named locally as Iain Stuart, 41, from Laurenckirk.
An Italian national and 11 Norwegians were also on the flight.
Formal identification of those involved was expected to begin today, while the black box from the flight has been sent to the UK as investigations continue into what happened on Friday.
