ConocoPhillips has been given a number of improvement points by the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) over its chemical working environment at the Ekofisk J process facility.
The safety body had been carrying out an audit to assess its competence and resources for safeguarding the company’s management of the chemical working environment.
It said two improvement points had been handed out for the register of exposed employees and mapping of benzene from ventilation valves.
ConocoPhillips has now been given a deadline of June 16th to report on how the improvement ponts will be dealt with.
