Norwegian operator Statoil has been hit with a number of improvement points by the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) after an audit was carried out on its management of barriers at Kvitebjorn.
The safety body said four non-conformities were identified including design loads for fire and pressure control equipment.
Improvement points were also found regarding knowledge of performance of barrier element and suspension of cables in fibre straps.
Statoil has now been given a deadline on June 6th to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be dealt with.
Kvitebjorn is a gas and condensate field east of the Gullfaks field in the North Sea.
Earlier today ConocoPhillips was also hit with a number of improvement points by the PSA for the Ekofisk J process facility.
