DEA is to reduce its headcount in Norway, the company have confirmed.
The move is expected to see its staff reduced from 180 to 90 by the summer of next year.
It comes amid a weaker oil marketplace as well as the merger between DEA Norway and E.ON E&P.
A spokesman for DEA said the decision had been taken as it adapts to a “world where the oil price is lower” than it has been in previous years.
According to reports, DEA Norway has about 90 employees in Stavanger and almost as many in Oslo.
