Today is the final day that companies have to enter the Press and Journal’s 2016 Gold Awards.
Now in its second year, the event marks the contribution companies and individuals are making to the North Sea.
The Gold Awards – in association with Aberdeen Asset Management – celebrate the region’s resilience and fortitude, even in the challenging climate.
The awards will be presented a ceremony at The Marcliffe on September 8, and the deadline for nominations is Wednesday 29 June at 5pm.
There are seven categories, as well as a special award for the Gold Awards Hall of Fame decided by judging panel of well-known business leaders.
These include Martin Gilbert, chief executive of Aberdeen Asset Management; Rita Marcella, dean of Aberdeen Business School at the Robert Gordon University; and Malcolm Webb, former head of Oil and Gas UK.
Firms have been urged to consider and enter one or some of the awards’ seven categories which have been revamped for the 2016 event. The process has also been simplified and is free to enter.
Mr Gilbert said: “By entering these awards, it’s a chance for companies to take stock and reflect on their achievements as they look to the future.
“Companies that are shortlisted, as well as those that win, raise their profile can bring benefits to their businesses by enhancing their reputation among existing and potential clients.”
The host of the event will be Steph McGovern, a popular host of hard hitting business news on breakfast television.
