Songa Offshore said one of its drilling rigs has commenced work in the Barents Sea.
The company, which earlier this month dismissed axing three of its oldest rigs, said the Songa Enabler is now on an operating rate under its eight-year drilling contract with Statoil.
The Songa Enabler is the last rig in a series of four category D semi-submersible drilling rigs built specificually for and contracted to the Norwegian operator.
