Statoil has been given consent to use the Songa Delta mobile drilling facility at the Tune field in the North Sea to plug a well.
The company is the gas and condensate field’s operator.
Well 30/8-A-12 is located around 10kilometres west of the Oseberg field centre.
The field has been developed using a subsea template and a satellite well tied back to Oseberg.
Production at Tune began in 2002.
The activity is scheduled to begin in early September 2016 and estimated to last 24 days.
