Total has been hit with a number of improvements after an audit was carried out on its Martin Linge gas field in the North Sea.
The company is the operator for the gas and condensate field which is 42miles west of the Oseberg field.
The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) said it completed an audit to ensure the company was in compliance with regulatory requirements for barriers and maintenance in the Martin Linge production unit development project.
The audit was conducted in two parts in March at Total’s Stavanger premises and then in June at the build site at Samsung Heavy industries in South Korea.
The audit revealed non-conformities relating to maintenance management and preservation while there were improvement points with barrier management as well as a number of other issues raised.
Total has been given a deadline of September 1st to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be dealt with.
