Statoil has been handed a number of improvement points for the Johan Sverdrup field by the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA).
The PSA said the points were related to non-conformity handling and verification activities.
The Norwegian company is the operator of Johan Sverdrup in the North Sea.
The first construction phase of the development consists of a field centre with four fixed facilities for accommodation, processing, drilling and risers with the four facilties being linked by bridges.
Johan Sverdrup is to be powered from onshore where it is commissioned in 2019.
The safety body had carried out an audit of design engineering of risers and conductor casings for the riser facility during meetings with Statoil and Kvaerner in Oslo in May.
The purpose of the audit had been to monitor Statoil’s follow-up of suppliers and verify that the project was being planned and executed in compliance with the regulatory requirements and recognised norms.
