An Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV) which had 15 unpaid Indian nationals working onboard has been released after it was detained in Aberdeen Harbour.
The Malaviya Seven had been detained in June.
The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITWF) had been working with the workers employer GOL Offshore as it looked to help the staff get reimbursed.
The crew had not been paid for several months.
A spokesman for the Martime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said:”The Malaviya Seven was released from detention following the payment of crew wages and repatriation of seafarers with expired employment agreements.”
