Norway’s offshore safety body has given a floatel builder permission for one of its vessels to go to work in the North Sea.
The Floatel Endurance, built by Bermuda-headquartered Floatel International, will be used to bring Statoil’s Gina Krog development online.
The Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) said in an online statement: “It is our assessment that petroleum activities may be carried out using the Floatel Endurance facility within the regulatory framework.”
The PSA has now granted acknowledgement of compliance for 61 mobile facilities.
