Dolphin Drilling will make up to 180 job losses from its operations in Norway.
According to reports the company is making fresh cuts as a result of a contract coming to an end with Statoil next year.
The Bideford Dolphin is said to have no new contracts “in sight” at the moment.
Earlier this year Dolphin Drilling revealed it would make around 150 staff members redundant.
Hundreds of jobs are said to be at risk at Global Energy Group with one source claiming around 300 jobs could go from the company.
