The chief executive of Rem Offshore plans to step down from the post amid a merger with another shipping company.
Arild Myrvoll has reportedly reached an agreement with the board of his company to resign as its boss.
He will step down immediately after the firm’s scheduled general meeting next month.
It’s understood Myrvoll will be on hand still until the merger with Solstad is complete.
The merger was announced in July amid the continued decline in oil price.
Myrvoll took up the role with the firm in February this year having previously held the role of chief financial officer.
