Surveillance flights have continued over the weekend after an oil spill from BP’s North Sea Clair platform.
The move comes a week after technical issues led to the spill 75kilometres off the Shetland Islands.
A spokesman said BP is continuing to monitor the area where oil was released.
Latest aerial surveillance data and satellite imagery has continued to show no visible signs of oil on the sea which has indicated rapid and significant natural evaporation and dispersion.
BP also previously said it would be collecting water samples in the area.
Investigations into the cause of the accident started last week and are ongoing.
