ConocoPhillips has postponed new plans to deliver new assessments for further development of the Eldfisk Bravo area to Norwegian authorities by the end of the year.
The company had announced in the summer it had applied for postponement of the deadline to submit plans for further development of the Eldfisk area.
Authorities have approved the postponement.
In a letter it was revealed the firm should have completed six wells in the Bravo structure.
However, only two of these are so far complete.
ConocoPhillips said in the letter: “Because of delay in drilling plans, resource interpretation and uncertainty around the reserve base, the company is not able to give a clear and rational
evaluation for the further development of the Bravo structure by the end of 2016.”
The postponement will give the owners the chance to increase its understanding of the reservoir, the letter said.
