Industry chiefs are concerned that forecasts for production cost reductions on the UK continental shelf will be wide of the mark, a news report said.
Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) has said costs were expected to drop to $16 per barrel at the end of 2016 from about $30.
But OGUK chief executive Deirdre Michie warned at the industry body’s AGM that industry chiefs fear only half of that cut can be realised, the BBC reported.
