This year saw an end to the Department of Energy and Climate Change after it was scrapped by Prime Minister Theresa May.
Greg Clark, was made secretary of state for the newly formed Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
On his first visit to the oil and gas capital earlier this year, Mr Clark said the merger of the former Department of Energy and Climate Change (Decc) into the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (Bis) was “emblematic” of government’s approach to the sector.
