Unions in Norway have issued a joint statement calling for a ban on the country’s use of Super Puma helicopters.
It comes after Statoil said it would no longer use the helicopter model following the deaths of 13 people in a flight earlier this year.
A total of 10 union have also hit out at the decision made in recent months to lft the ban on the use of EC225s and AS332L2s.
The joint statement said there was “no longer” any trust in the Super Puma aircraft offshore.
Other firms are also facing pressure from the unions to ban the aircraft off Norway.
They’ve urged companies to “prioritise safety” amid concerns.
