Norwegian operator Statoil is reported to have ‘finished’ with its initial estimates for downsizing since the global decline in oil price.
According to reports in Norwegian media, the firm had planned to reach job cuts of between 20,700 and 21,100 employees by the end of 2016.
A spokesman for the company said figures were not through for November and December, but it was expected to be within the estimated range.
He said further job losses could not be ruled out but the company currently has no new estimates or targets.
