CHC Helicopters has won a contract to provide flights for Faroe Petroleum’s exploration drilling campaign at the Norwegian North Sea Brasse field.
Sikorsky S-92 helicopters operating out of Bergen airport will be used to fulfil the contract.
The drilling programme is expected to start mid-2017 and last about 70 days.
An option to extend has been included in the contract.
Arne Roland, regional director at CHC, said: “We are excited to work with Faroe Petroleum as their aviation partner in this project.
“This project allows us to continue to build on our decades of experience supporting oil and gas customers in the Norwegian Continental Shelf as we continue to evolve our services and technology to best meet their needs.”
Faroe operates and owns 50% of Brasse, while Point Resources holds the other 50%.
Faroe has booked Odfjell Drilling’s Deepsea Bergen rig to carry out drilling operations.
