Norway’s safety watchdog has reprimanded Statoil over a series of failings at its Troll C semi-submersible.
The nine non-conformities were identified when the Petroleum Safety Authority carried out an audit at the installation back in March.
Among the issues were emergency preparedness analyses, the safety service, the helicopter deck and maintenance of lifting equipment.
In addition, improvement points were identified in connection signage and marking, maintenance of emergency preparedness equipment, lifeboats and the follow up of chemicals and exposure conditions.
Statoil been given a deadline of May 22 to report on how the non-conformities will be addressed and how the improvement points will be assessed.
