An offshore worker had to be airlifted to hospital after falling ill on a North Sea platform.
The Maritime and Coastguard agency were alerted to the incident at around 9.15pm on Monday night.
A coastguard helicopter was sent to CNR International’s Ninian Central platform, some 100 miles north east of Sumburgh on Shetland.
A spokeswoman for the rescue agency said: “We conducted a medevac from the Ninian Central platform.
“Coastguard Rescue helicopter 900, which is based at Sumburgh, was tasked to take the crewman off the platform and bring them back to Tingwall.
“They were met by the Scottish Ambulance Service and taken to the Gilbert Bain hospital.”
The condition of the male oil worker is not known.
