An offshore helicopter made a “priority” landing in Shetland this morning after a cockpit warning light came on.
The CHC operated S92 helicopter was travelling from Aberdeen to Sumburgh when the two crew, the sole occupants of the aircraft, noticed the technical warning light.
The incident happened around 9am.
The helicopter landed safely at Sumburgh airport, where it was met by the emergency services as is standard protocol.
A CHC Helicopter spokesperson said: “An aircraft travelling from Aberdeen to Sumburgh requested priority landing this morning at Sumburgh, after the crew noted a technical fault warning light.
“The aircraft will now be thoroughly inspected by our engineers before returning to service. There were no passengers on board.”
