Oil services firm Petrofac has secured a contract extension from US major Chevron for engineering services.
The 12-month agreement, which comes into effect this month, will involve the continued provision of engineering support across Chevron’s key North Sea assets.
Petrofac has held the agreement since 2014.
The assets involved include the Alba North, Erskine and Captain platforms, as well as the Alba floating storage unit and the Captain floating production storage and offloading vessel.
Dave Blackburn, senior vice president for engineering and production services west, said: “We’re delighted to continue our successful relationship with Chevron across these assets, which is focused on safe and cost-effective delivery.
“Through implementation of a flexible and scalable model, we have created notable added value by reducing costs and aligning performance to KPIs, in a very challenging and cost-focused market.
“We look forward to continuing with this approach and further strengthening our relationship with Chevron over the coming 12 months.”
