An Aberdeenshire energy service firm has folded after falling victim to the oil sector downturn, putting four people out of work.
Moir Fabrications, based in Rothienorman, delivered fabrication and engineering services to the energy and civil engineering sectors.
A drop in orders from oil and gas clients in recent years led to last week’s decision to cease trading.
Gordon MacLure, restructuring partner at Johnston Carmichael, has been appointed liquidator.
Mr MacLure said: “Moir Fabrication has, in common with a number of other companies, suffered over recent years with reduced orders and increasingly competitive margins during the downturn in the energy sector.
“The sale of the company’s assets will take place in due course, and a meeting of creditors will take place on November 30.”
